We do our best to ship orders placed before 4:00 PM on workdays the same day.

What material are the hair clips made of?
Our hair clips are made of acetate.
What is the difference between acetate and plastic?
Most importantly, acetate is a petroleum-free, renewable and
biodegradable material that produces our hair clips without the manufacturing process contributing to the mountain of plastic waste.
First, acetate is made from wood pulp and cotton linters. Both are plant-based and renewable sources. Plastics, on the other hand, are derived from petrochemicals, which are obtained from fossil crude oil, coal or natural gas.
Second, acetate is also biodegradable. In biologically active soil, cellulose acetate fibers can be completely biodegraded in 4-9 months. Petroleum-based
plastics (plastic), on the other hand, can linger in the environment
for hundreds of years.
400 million tons of plastic are produced annually, of which 40% is single-use (such as straws, bags, etc.) By choosing acetate we hope to minimize our impact on the earth.
Finally, it is a strong material so our hair clips can last a long time. In this way we try to prevent excessive consumption and pollution.
What about the sustainability of distribution?
We use 100% recyclable materials for our shipping boxes and packaging materials. Furthermore, our thank you cards are made of circular seed paper. If you put our thank you card in potting soil, roots will start to grow. We try to deliver orders in Utrecht and Amsterdam by bike as much as possible!
